Corrugated Back Router Head & Knives

Designed specifically to be used on CNC Routers capable of accepting 3/4" shafts, this tool allows the use of conventional corrugated knives on this type of machine. Most mill shops are already using corrugated steel somewhere in their shop whether on a shaper, tenoner or moulder. An inexpensive way to produce samples or small runs using steel knives or use our carbide knives for long production runs. We offer the complete system to get you up and running fast. Knives for both straight cuts and profiling are readily available. Clockwise and counterclockwise rotations available.

V-Groove/45° Chamfer Router Bit

Designed for V-grooving and folding. Using a special insert with 15° bevels producing a perfect 90° angle. Can also be used to chamfer material up to 1" thick. 2 cutting edges per insert.

Solid Carbide Router Bits

Schmidt is proud to introduce our new solid carbide spiral router bits. Our bits are precision ground to high tolerances to produce an excellent cutting edge for a longer lasting tool life. We offer our bits in upcut, downcut and also compression style. We also carry solid carbide bits for template cutting machines. • Upcut - Designed for routing, grooving and slotting in both hard and soft woods, plastics, non porous material, and composites. Use where chips must be pulled toward shank. • Downcut - Designed to hold material down during templating and thru cutting. • Compression bits - Designed to produce a high quality finish on two sided material with minimal chipping. • Ruffer - Designed to allow for extremely fast hogging in solid wood and wood composites. • Sharpening available for a fraction of the cost of new bits with minimal diameter loss.

Diamond Tipped Router Bits

Our Polycrystalline Diamond Tooling will cut a wide variety of tough, abrasive materials including particleboard, medium density fiberboard (MDF), plywood and plastic. Up/down (compression) shear provides clean cuts on double-sided melamine panels while the cutting edge lasts up to 150 times longer than carbide. Diamond boring point allows for plunging straight down. What may seem expensive is really a way to save money. Your machine runs longer, you cut more parts and tool changes are much less frequent. Polycrystalline Diamond is the most economical choice. These tools can be resharpened 2 or 3 times.
